Downloading Win 7 right now. I need to reload this PC anyhow. My CC # got stolen right after I made an online purchase, so, to be safe, I'm secure wiping this comp and reloading the Windows partition. I should stick with online purchases from my Linux box, and usually do, but this time I was lazy. Could be a coincidence, but I figured I'd play it safe.

i'd consider going for it, save me some cash, but it doesn't list 7 ultimate, which is what i need/want. and if pro is going for $250 half off, i cringe at what 7 ultimate will take out of my wallet.
i'm assuming they're not offering ultimate for the discount, too bad.

7 miles ahead of vista At least MS is starting to get the idea. I have it running on a few VM's busines/personal, I can't wait to see what launch day brings. I am still partial to OSX though.

I purchased Home edition pre-order from walmart.com $55.00 shipped.

I don't think I'll need any of the bells / whistles Pro or Ultimate offer.

Also - 7 has no compatibility issues that I've found. Not only is it fully back compatible to Vista/XP/Etc, but its fully compatible from 64 bit to 32 bit modes.

Like I said, I love it and won't be switching back to XP. Just waiting on pricing so I know how much I need to save for when the beta edition is no longer usable.
