I was going down MAIN Street this past Sunday afternoon. I stopped and let a Group of people cross the street. I was grinning ear to ear watching them point and look at my car. I looked in my rearview mirror. There was a beautiful Mustang behind me. UMMM I figured I'd feather the clutch and make the pipes rumble. Well my foot slipped of the cluch and SCREACH and I kill the Motor. :( The to add to the Shame the car won't start. I slouched down and finally got the car started. I could see the Laughter and Smiles from the group I'd let cross. Also the couple in the Mustang behind me > My shameful Sunday.

OK... I got two. Its MAJOR s

FIRST, Corvette meet garage:

In March 2007 I bought a brand spankin new C6 Corvette. I had it maybe a month and this girl I had just starting dating... who is my wife now, even after what you are about to read... Anyhow, so I lived in an apartment with a one car attached garage with a concrete driveway and a polished concrete garage floor. It was a little damp out so I thought when I backed in, I would get the rear tires onto the polished damp concrete and themn do a little burn out since there would be no traction it would jsut scream... WRONG.

That bitch hooked up and rocketed... BACKWARDS into the garage. Now, I was able to stop it before crashing through the back BUT not before shaving off the passenger side mirror.

So I get out and collect my self... she looks at me and just shakes her head and says "what the f*ck are you doing?" I just hung my head and walked around to the passengert side. Mirror broken and on the floor. Luckily it didnt crack the holes out of the door.

So I order a new mirror and have it painted. I go to install it and notice the inside door panel is all jacked up... Well when I was installing the new mirror, I noticed that I had hit is so hard/fast, it split the inner structural fiberglass away from the door skin... FUUUUU.. So the door panel popped out of the track. I then noticed two 3" cracks on the outside of the door. Oh boy... Well I was able to get the door panel back in and get everything buttoned up. Never got the door fixed. It rattled a little when you shut it but it was fine for the two years I had it.

SECOND, WS6 launch... sort of:

I was driving a girlfriends parents brand new WS6... AUTOMATIC... crap, I never drove automatics. Well, at a light, i decided I am going to play... i pull it down into 1... light turns green, I NAIL IT... red lines and here is where it goes south...

Typically I would have slammed the clutch, grabbed second, released the clutch and mashed the gas... PROBLEM... no clutch so, I mashed the BRAKE as I am going to "shift to second"... keep in mind this happens all at once... well the sudden decell from jamming the brakes makes me force the car into neutral... I let off the brake and assuming its in gear MASH the gas... over-revved the piss out of it... realized what I did, yank it back into drive and then DID IT AGAIN... mashed the brake, thinking it was the clutch. :faceplam:... I gave up on automatics after that.

Keep in mind this all happened in like 3 seconds!

Those were probably my most memorable WTF moments becuase they were such a nice cars. I have done plenty of other dumb shit in my day but it was always with POS cars.

Well for me it was just yesterday at our weekly car gathering,. A gentleman in a newer GTO peeled out of the parking lot got sideways, fishtailed twice and ended up in the ditch.. He did manage to slam the gas and get him self out before he got stuck and did not look to have done any damage to his car. but his ego was sure hurting as he drove away at 25 miles an hour..

Just thought I would share this with the ones that left early.

Anytime you drive your 400+ H.P. car to its full potential, things like this can happen. To ANYONE. Its kinda funny when it happens to the new guy. Its EFing HILARIOUS when it happens to the experienced guy who thinks it will never happen to him.
