Unless you have worked in a automotive assembly plant you have no clue on how hard most of those jobs are they may look easy to you because you are not doing the job everything looks easier when someone else is doing it they deserve what they get.

Don't take this comment the wrong way, because I mean no disrespect. My father and two uncles are retired UAW.

That being said, digging ditches is hard labor also. It doesn't mean it's skilled labor, and it doesn't mean it's worth $30 an hour.

Bingo. Hard work is hard work, but when you do a job that pretty much anybody can do with a little training, you can't expect your wages to be that high. Specialization is the key.

Wish I could cut and past an article from the Dallas Morning News that was published on 9/19/2011 that compared the Arlington GM plant with the San Antonio Toyota plant. Very interesting. I can tell you that the people in San Antonio were quite thrilled to have this open there.

if you are making $10/hr and decide to start a family because it makes you happy you are a selfish parasite on society.

Unions have created an ENTITLEMENT mindset that is poison to capitalism. People think they are entitled to everything these days regardless of the situtation. ie Wisconisin is broke, you can't have what you had because they don't have it at this time. Capice?

A little harsh, but I totally agree with the point you are making.

you should neuter and spay all people with IQs below 120. Also, obese people because they are a drain on health insurance and raise costs for us healthy smart people. Same goes for smokers, and people who have cancer. All would be better off never reproducing... The gene pool would be so much more pure then.

oh and don't forget ugly people. Who likes looking at ugly people anyway.

I know you meant that sarcastically but it's a completely wrong analogy.

As long as smokers and fat people are paying for their own health insurance then who cares. If they're on the dole, then they're parasites as well, regardless if they smoke of if they're fat.

Besides, the government should encourage smoking and obesity. Those people die much sooner and are actually a net gain for social programs because they never collect social security, or collect expensive end of life treatments on medicare.

I know this is straying off topic, but another thing that grinds my gears is food stamps. I think they should be done away with and bring back the Government food pantry. It really grinds me to see most of these families buying steaks, high end fruits and veggies, cheeses, breads and crap to snack on without even having to worry about prices. Holy crap if I have to shop sale items and be concerned about how much I can afford to spend, so should they. If they had the pantries back, they would get milk, cheese, meat, bread, rice and the other basics they need to SURVIVE and not live like kings ...

Rant Over !!!

yeah, I tried to make it obvious that I was being sarcastic. And I believe that somebody making $10/hr should live within their means, and if they want to have kids, then they may just have to get a 2nd job or live with extended family etc. Obviously, if somebody feels entitled to welfare, that's the absolutely wrong mentality. I just find it funny that people all the time are saying things like, poor people shouldn't reproduce. But at the same time people also yell things like, don't teach safe sex in schools or don't give out cheap birth control. But it's the poor people that need the free birth control because they can't afford it. Whether or not you teach somebody how to have sex, they're going to figure it out and desire it poor or not. We can't neuter people.

on the flip side, I hear birth control in our water is making fish hermaphrodites. so yeah....
