I would have to go with RUSH as #1 in my book. Being a drummer myself, Neil Peart is THE MAN!!! Geddy and Alex are top notch musicians as well. To do what they do at the age they are is beyond me.

I've seen probably 30-40 bands over the past 7 years.......here are the best ones, in order:
Rock: Deftones Raconteurs Pearl Jam Offspring Tool Gnarls Barkley Rap: Kanye West NERD I don't typically enjoy rap shows, but Kanye West puts on one hell of a show. Basically, a must see entertainer even if you don't like him as a person (who does!). I saw him once in Chicago, and then again a few weeks later at Lollapalooza. Great shows! |

My all time favorite live show was always Rush until I saw Paul McCartney last year on His "Up and coming Tour". That was the show to end all shows for Me.

One of my favorite shows recently was The Police tour that happened a couple of years ago? Has it been that long already?

If Hammer Of The Gods ever comes through check them out. I figured I'd just give them a shot cause the tickets were cheap but they were badass!! They've got it down pat too from looking like them to the drum solo from Moby Dick and "Jimmy" playing his guitar with the bow. Good show.
I'm jealous of you guys that got to see TOOL

I've seen most of the groups listed here live, but my list comes down to 2.
1. Paul McCartney in Red Square in 2003. The guy played "Yesterday" on the same guitar that he recorded it on. Come on, he's a Beattle! There aren't too many of them left! He played "Back in the USSR" on a stage right under the Kremlin Clock Tower. What a fantastic night! It was a great concert! 2. Garth Brooks! What a show!

Turn it up to 11.

My favorite is Rush as well. I've seen them on the last 3 tours and will see them again in June. They have been great every time and they are my favorite band.
Other than Rush my other favorite concerts have been: Dragonforce w/ Sonata Arctica and Taking Dawn, The Moody Blues, Metallica, AC/DC, Honda Civic Tour 2010 with Paramore as the headliner, Video Games Live, TSO, and Huey Lewis & The News. Since I was born in the 80s I missed out on the 70s rock scene and I would have loved to see Pink Floyd.
