I would be all over the place with that much power in a manual tranny
I've always been pretty good at getting out of the hole.... 1-2 very quick, its the 2-3 that's a little slow sometimes. I get bored driving an auto though on the roads.... I sometimes find myself pushing my left leg to the floor when a light goes green..... then its not there

I used to love manuals, and I still enjoy them, but I have so much fun with my A6. I don't have to worry about clutches failing left and right, dealing with it in traffic or missing a gear when you need to shift on point. I beat a fellow Camaro by a few lengths due to him missing a shift and he had around a 60HP/80TQ advantage.

I was driving one of our Dodge 5500HD's the other day.... I got in the camaro and kept reaching for the exhaust brake

There are times I find myself with my hand on the shifter trying to slap it through the gears when I accelerate real hard. My fiance' laughs her ass off at me when I do it. Half the time I don't realize I'm doing it until she calls attention to it.

I can see that. Its a love/hate relationship for sure. On the strip the auto's are hard to beat for sure. I do enjoy the LS3 around here on these winding roads though! Need to talk the wifey into trading "BU" in on an L99 SS......Best of both worlds
