lol HARSH!
Initial impressions...hmmm It's certainly overwhelmingly powerful, but VERY docile at normal operating speeds/revs. Has a very throaty growl, but the supercharge is not quite as loud (in the cabin anyways) as I had hoped for. But, that's made up for by the exhaust which is many many times louder than I anticipated. It does feel like a large car, most likely because I'm coming from a '99 GT which is smaller in almost every measurement. Feels like I'm sitting relatively low and the hood is definitely visible. Rear sight and blind spot visibility are both pretty good. Interior is well laid out, though I'm still pretty unfamiliar with the buttons as I only have roughly 100 miles on the car, and a short time sitting in it playing astronaut. Interesting that so far, my only complaint comes from the difficulty "I" find in pushing the right key on the steering wheel while trying to navigate through the LCD screen between the Tach/Speedo. The transmission is difficult for me to judge, never driven a 6 speed, or a Short Throw shifter before. The Recaro seats are VERY firm, yet quite supportive as you'd imagine. I don't have any extended seat time, so I can't say as to whether or not my back begins to fatigue with more seat time. I've only attempted launch control one time around 3500 rpms, and it allowed for a small chirp and then the car took off (no idea how it's going to perform with my driving lol) Am yet to use any of the performance measuring metrics, but they seem pretty straight forward and easy to use. Definitely for 'Track Use Only' because that's what the little red words tell me in the corner. I've done 99% of my driving with the wheel in Sport mode, and was hoping for a bit 'tougher' feel, but perhaps that will come with more spirited driving as most of my miles have been at low city speeds, and 55-60 country road cruises. I've taken a few city S turns pretty aggressively, but as I'm sure most of you will agree, it's tough to get a feel for handling when you're no where near the limits of a vehicle (see: curbs on all sides) I don't really know what more to say other than I LOVE the look of the vehicle from the front, rear, and from angles on the side. Does look 'slightly' bulky in windows/mirrors I'm driving by, but in reality, that's true to form from a Mustang, let alone a Shelby version. I've gotten LOADS of stares, though I'm not sure most of the people know what the car is since I live in a small town of about 8,000 people. And up until today, I'd never 'stopped' anywhere. My first trip somewhere was wal-mart for some flour tortillas and a couple young 20's guys followed me and were very curious. They weren't aware that the car had even been delivered yet. Funny because the one guy asked if I was test driving. Been WOT 3 times in first gear and once it grabs, it pulls like MAD to the 7K redline. No WOT pulls anywhere else, and I've only had it up to 80. So...that's a not-so-brief synapse of what I feel so far. Haven't driving it really hard.

Whoops I just realized it was yours! Sorry. I just think that color looks like something Papa Smurf would drive.

Jesus... Those must have been your brothers....
Who takes a 60,000 dollar car through an automatic wash? I just used the hoses to wash the bugs off (they were bad- still on from truck ride and my driving) and clear the little bit of dust from my garage. Hand detail starts Sunday.

Love true musclecar colours like this. Dodge (and Laborghini, oddly) do colour better than anyone. Give me bold non-metallic colours like this anyday.

very interesting... " the brakes are ridiculous" << as in good
" pretty impressive, impressive" " I dont know how you guys make a live axel work this well..but you do" " boss 302 guys better watch their step" Well I think that sums some things up how it will perform on the track. |

Also i believe in the autos its just an aggressive transmission cal from GM to get the car in the 11's more often. Im sure GM will at least do that for the 2013 model year. Hopefully a bump in HP as well. |
