There is a specific RPM range /engine temperature / throttle position range in the computer that if you fall in all the right range for all of them, it will try to shift from 1 to 4th... It'll indicate it in the Drivers Information Center. It's like 14 to 22 miles per hour at operating temp, and easy acceleration...

There are about ten thousand threads on it and to simplify all of it, for about twenty dollars you can buy a ready made skip shift eliminator....

If you decide to buy one, get it at the same time you order your shifter, then install them at the same time as they go in the same place...

I dont get that , at 22 mph...the car would fall flat on its shorts in forth gear......thats interesting....because when it does that ,its at very normal driving...low speed ,normal rpm.....

Prevents GM from the gas guzzler tax on the 6M's! Like AFM on the 6A's!

Dumb..but very much worth getting rid of on the 6M's!
