So this weekend was my last official guy weekend before i become a dad, Son should be here anytime and i decided to have one last hoorah weekend. Started sat night with Hooters, then The Expendables, on to the bar where my friend convinced me to race the next day at a car show he was going to. So I did... It was awesome, i stayed in the mid 13's all day long except once my wheels would not grab and I damn near put my wife into labor because i was tailing all over. Any ways it was the best weekend ive had in a while. i will post slips up soon, best was 13.43 , fastest was 109, gotta work on reaction times.. here is a few pics of a friend i made, a 2011 5.0, we raced each other almost every time cause this was an import showdown, so it was even better

ya i lost twice to him, i missed 3rd once and he beat me by .03 and i couldnt grab traction once and lost by .27 i think, really close races . he told me he hated looing in his mirrors cause i was always catching him for the win, haha, i raced pretty much all day in competition mode

Yet the ford guys on this site will say the mustang did not know how to drive.

And I thought the 5.0's were going to be fast!?!?!? Was it a stick also?

ya it was a drivers race, they are fast i wont take that from the new ones, he had a stick also, and we both had axle backs, but i had vararam untunned, i think i need tires that grip better though that was my biggest issue was grabbing traction

Are you sure that they are in fact a 12 second car?????

it was also my first time racing a V8/ domestic/ manual, so it was a learning experience, i got better with each run though

Not only will experince play a roll in your time slips , the weather is a huge factor right now! 13.43 is a good pass for your first time out and in the summer heat. Post up your time slips when you get a chance.

Depending on the Driver , Weather and Track conditions Stock Camaros and Mustangs have went 12.5x. If any of the 3 things are off thats when you start seeing the 13.xx-14s

ya it was effing hot, mustang guy was icing his engine, id like to do a few thing then go back before they close for the season with cooler weather
