So it's a good thing that his car is cluttered with them everywhere I suppose...

I will never understand why a Mustang owner would come to a Camaro forum or vise-verssa for that matter...

Mainly because we know you will complain even though it is a vs. thread created by a Camaro owner member here.

In all seriousness, I think there are a great deal of members who really appreciate the Camaro and enjoy discussing it in comparison to other cars in it's class. I don't see an issue with that.

I believe he was referring to the mark up of the ZR1. You will not find one for MSRP anywhere. With the markup, you certainly could have 2 for the price of 1 with the configuration he was quoting.

most zr1's are well over 110k, closer to 115-120k.

but a gt500 with track pack, and buying a tvs blower would be awfully close to 55k yes (about 59k).

still, id rather have a zr1 if i had the money (actually id take a z06 and pocket 35 grand)

same gearing, same race weight, identical power (371/402 on mine i think 355/400 on his)

I stand corrected. I don't think that is status quo however.

MSRP is $111,100 according to Chevrolet.com.

Yeah I'd definitely take a ZR1 over two GT500s. I mean you can take any stock car and mod it cheaper to be faster than any factory exotic car.

They have been selling new ZR1's for well below MSRP for most of 2010. 12-15K off MSRP is normal on corvetteforum.

Yup. You can get pretty good deals on Z06s too (which would be my choice). Also, prices for used C6 Z06s are REALLY coming down. Fabulous values.

Based on what criteria? Difficult to define. In my opinion the ZR-1 and Ford GT rank in "Exotic" or "Supercar" territory. I would even argue the GT-R belongs there with its sub-six-figure price tag.

It may have the performance of an exotic, but it looks too much like any other Corvette to be considered exotic, just too many of the other Vettes on the road.

I think you're trying to say that ALL Corvettes look like Supercars
