Totally agree! Might have to reconsider the long bed over the short bed

Perfect... that's my trim level and all.

Looks just like the box I have on mine now.

Autoblog's 2.5L Extended Cab WT review.

I need to convince the state of Florida to get me this for a new work truck...

So I priced out a 4x4 ext cab and it automatically puts u into a Lt trim with no option to change it to W/t I didn't add any options except for Locking rear and it came out to 30.5k and the rebates on the 1500s 4x4 Lt is cheaper than that for a reg cab is what I prefer in a truck. Don't get me wrong the Colorado is priced right with the completion just I don't see the consumer being like well heck I can get a full size for that price.

As a daily driver I really don't want a big truck. I want it to fit in the garage and in parking spots at work. It's just the right size and also gets good MPG. Even if I could get a full size truck cheaper I'd still go this route and I think a lot of folks are in the same boat. It just works all the way around for me personally.

I have no problem building a W/T 4x4 in either the ext cab, or crew cab...

Ext cab w/t 4x4 w/ only the locking rear and 4cyl engine comes in at 28,085 with no other options

Looks like you are forced to add the trailering equipment package w/ the addition of the v6. Ext cab w/t 4x4 v6 w/ trailering equipment pkg, and locking rear comes in at 29,570

When I try to build a Canyon, it forces you to go from the base to the SLE package w/ the v6 and the 4x4 comes in $35,235 w/ no options added... That's a little high for my blood.

At a 5-6k difference, I wonder how much it would cost a guy to put the Canyon front end, and bed onto the Colorado and still save a few grand over buying the Canyon.

I'm right there with you Mike, which is why this truck is so appealing to me.

Diesel with a stick, I'd buy it in a heartbeat no questions asked. Automatics being the only option in the 4x4, hmmm id really be on the fence for a while, and possibly not buy at all, just keep my old Ford diesel that's paid for.

If they made a Colorado edition that had the midgate and hard removable panels that the Avalance had... Holy crap that would be awesome

Given the first year glitches in the "New Improved" '14 Silverado, I'll stay away from this one the first year.

I am really interested, but I'll let someone else be the Guinea Pig.

I just remembered, tonight on Autoline they're going to have someone from GM talking about the new Colorado. It goes live at 6 pm on their website:http://www.autoline.tv/journal/?cat=1513. The entire show lasts an hour, but usually its only the first half hour that features the guest.

There should be an archived version (in audio or video format) posted up tomorrow in case you miss tonight.
