Wow, this one came back from the dead. I guess I'd qualify as a workaholic.... I currently drive 60,000 miles a year for work in Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico. Usually I average about 55 hours a week which, oddly is less than the 65 I did at the last job. Four days a week I get up at 3-4 AM, go run 10 miles and goto the gym...BEFORE WORK. I do this all so I can sleep 10 plus hours like I did last night.

Oh man! The year before last before I took a gamble (and lost big time) moving to Alaska, I was working about a combined 70 hours a week from 3 jobs (not including my own little business)... Lost my ass in Alaska, had to move back home, now I'm down to 40 hrs a week with one job, and about 20-30 a week with my little business now that it was finally taken of in the last year.

You know what every guy with a 2nd job needs?? A third job!

Wow. the last time I posted in this thread, I was looking for a new job... Now I've been in that new job for 10 months. Still salaried, but really GREAT hours. 8:30-5, an hour lunch, no weekends, no holidays. LOVIN it!

In one sense I'm pretty lucky and can work from home at my discretion.

BUT...

I tend to go in to the office most of the time. I wake up.. start getting ready to amble the 20 feet or so into my home office, in my pj shorts and t-shirt.

BUT...

That's no fun and Princess is calling from the garage so I take a shower, put on work clothes and thoroughly enjoy the drive to and from work. Top up, Top down.. doesn't matter.

I was a workaholic for about 5 years but Uncle Sam took all my overtime money so I decided to calm down a bit and work just enough to not get hit up so hard.
