Here is a better picture of the diamond...sorry about those first ones. Do what works best for you. Let me know if you want one or both...like I said, I'm not "hard up" to sell them, but I'll help you out if you need it!

In the boating world, there is a saying:
A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money.

Just substitute Boat with Wife, and remove "in the water", and that is the situation you will be in.
Not all women depend on a man - I buy myself my OWN sht...I have NEVER expected my man to support me like that - if I want clothes or shoes it's why I have a JOB.
If you want her to stay at home then, yes, YOU have to pay for things - but most women are okay working to help pay for thier own "wants" and helping to pay for the "needs" of the family.

I like knowing I can afford to buy myself a Camaro, nice stuff and my OWN horde of shoes

Don't forget to check out some of the smaller jewelry stores when shopping for rings. I started out going to all of the big national stores and ended up buying from a small store that was just the owner and one employee. Most of the big stores certify every diamond which adds a couple of hundred dollars to every diamond which for my budget was a large chunk. The small store worked with my budget and made me fairly good deal. And it worked out well for my dad because now he gets a discount on jewelry there.

The downside was I went to several stores that were dumps and the place that I bought from had a very small collection of bands but I lucked out and found exactly what I was looking.

Isn't that the best feeling ever????? I bought my own Camaro too! I saved and paid cash for it and now when it is not in the shop we both enjoy it. There is something about not having to depend on a man for the things you want in life

+2!! I work for my OWN stuff. Before the hubby and I started dating I was sure to let him know that I didn't and would never "need him" for financial support, I am fiercely independant and can take care of myself. I think it's important to be self reliant.

Here, Here. I rarely wear mine and neither does my wife lots of the times. We are always on the go and just forget them alot of the times. I was gonna purchase my wife a 10,000 ring then I said what's the point, only people that are gonna see it is us and her co-workers. Save the money, more important things then the ring.

Granted the divorce $ paid for a huge chunk of my car but
If he hadn't screwed my parents out of $$ for a wedding just to dupe family and friends out money I'd have just used that money for my car instead. So....technically....he just paid me back that wedding money...with a nice bit of interest LOL!!

I actually paid for almost everything in my marriage - he paid for the house (it was his before we met anyway - and I wouldn't have gotten jack for having paid for it during the divorce so glad I didn't pay there) and the bills (ok, SOME of them - the others he slacked on and sht would get turned off "mysteriously") and I paid for all our food, going out, gave him money for gas and etc....(the ETC most likely being his girlfriend...)

I never expected him to pay for anything for me b/c he never did....and now I'm self sufficient enough to not expect a man to buy me things. Sure, it would be nice, but it doesn't bother me if he can't or won't. I have a job and can pay my own bills
Plus, there's a LOT less bitching when I bring home shoes if I pay for them myself
