Started playing last night soon as I got home, wow!! I love how I played for like 5 hours and have only STARTED to get into the main storyline (of course, you don't HAVE to go that route, but why wouldn't you?)
If this is the 'fight for the lost' game which has commercials on 3 dozen times a day... the graphics look soooo we're partying like its 1998

You look like your stuck in 98 so you'de be just fine.

Besides, what you see on tv, on a non HD commercial is way different then what you see in game on a HD gaming system and TV. Way to logically think that one through...

And fyi, this game DOES have the BEST graphics, not only rendering, but detail, quality, depth, and just over the top pizazz that i haven't seen on any other games before!

Good one.

Yea that makes sense. Every other big name game like COD manages to come out with really high deff comercials... but this game can't? And I'm the one who didn't think this through?

I'm sure it does.
I'm sorry I pissed off the uber dork with my clear and obvious statements.

Beat mass effect 1 yesterday after just under 20 hours of gameplay. Started Mass effect 2 last night - loving it so far, but I wish they had stuck with overheating instead of adding ammo in. Just a personal opinion - doesn't really make it a bad game, I just preferred the other way.

seems to be a much smaller selection of weapons and armor in this than the last one. Though with all the upgrades you can do I suppose they aren't as necessary.

Beat ME2 yesterday. Once again, a little less than 20 hours of play time.

It was good.

I recruited all the team members and did all their "loyalty" quests. Played a male soldier, normal difficulty. I did a fair number of the little "assignment" missions, including all the "fetch this" missions for the various crew members. Didn't do nearly all of them though.

It was good, but short. I miss the days when an RPG took 40+ hours to do the main quests alone. Like the old Black Isle games (Baldur's Gate, Planescape: Torment, Icewind Dale, etc).

P.S. - You're not too far from the end. I'd wager around an hour (maybe two) and you'll be done.

huh... wow, if thats the case it will be a lot shorter than I had hoped. Oh well, the storyline alone has me glued to this trilogy. But yeah, totally know what you mean. Spent countless hours on Morrowind. Couldn't bring myself to do the same with Oblivion for some reason though...

Hm... soooo no new Mako vehicle huh? That was the one disappointing thing for ME2. I loved wheelin around blowin things up in the Mako in ME1. Oh well. Now I plan on going through and trying to get every single upgrade... Will have to go through it with my evil character as well. Anyone else find that they actually have to TRY to be evil on games like these?

I have 35 hours racked up, have all the loyalty missions, all of the upgrades (that are unlocked), 100% galaxy exploration, on veteran difficulty- soldier. And i am just ready to get the IFF in the Hawking Eta cluster.
I am pleasantly pleased with this game. I haven't even looked at the Collector's edition stuff yet. It meets and exceeds my expectations!

Zeus, how's your game going?
