i get your point and... i dont know. if they take it seriously, maybe... idk. in the case of golf which started this all, i say they are athletes if they are professional or college or high school. but if its recreational, then no.

For instance, bowling is a sport because there is a particular technique for throwing the ball and rules regulating the length of the lane, the latest point of release, and the number of pins. Meanwhile, the game Halo is not a sport because the techniques performed do not directly result in completing the objective. Instead, the game is played by using a remote controller, not by a person actually capturing the flag or getting the highest count of kills.

Well, in that case I stand corrected.

Now. How bout bowlers? Are they athletes?

I carry a 209 average and can compete scratch but would get killed by the pros. Shot 299 a few weeks ago. Have 3 300s. Am I an athlete?
According , to blur you are an athlete just by being a bowler. I would say a great athlete with that average. I don't know how it is now, but a 200 average got you on the pro tour in the old days.

Uh. NO.

We have a guy on our Friday night league who is averaging 238 and we're 11 weeks in.

Check out some of the book averages these days. You'll find them over 250. No $hit. That's only missing (not striking) 2 times per game depending on where the misses are.

Like golf, the equipment is insane compared a long time ago.

My opinion?

Guy is a great golfer, has lots of money, a hot wife and banging three chicks.

If I were Tiger Woods, would I give a rats ass about my opinion?

Tiger,

If you own a 2010 Camaro and happen to be reading this and ever need advice on how to avoid getting caught, I am available.

I also offer driving lessons...No, not the lessons for the long metal thingy and a leather grip. Your wife has that covered. You know the 4 wheels, seats and a round circle that moves where you point it.

I am also available for exotic vehicle maintenance, concierge, entourage, security or as a stand in for official functions.

I do not have experience or wardrobe, but trainable.

I guess at this point I'm wondering what the other women involved have to gain by this. I don't really care that much about what happened, but now we see people coming out with coordinated press statements. That disgusts me.

He is a sports celebrity, media attention et al is part of the price he pays to be famous. Is it right? No, but it is expected these days.

He's a regular guy and is going to make mistakes. Not interested in his story or personal life other than to say "he cheated on THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!"

I'm a regular guy too. But, I wouldn't cheat on my wife. All these guys think their above it all and think they can do what they want, and it always comes back to haunt them. I love how now a day's all they have to do is come onto tv and say their sorry and alls forgiven not matter what they've done. I wish the real world worked like that. If this was just some joe blow off the street he would be branded a pig and an ass wipe for doing what he did. But, because he can play golf it's okay to cheat on his wife. AS far as it being our business, it's not ,but the media makes it our business.

I hate it when a person announces they did something bad, appologises, everyone talks about what 'Courage' it took to announce and they are branded a more stand up guy and get more credit than the guy who never screwed up at all.
