You know my cousin has a kid that is very bright and is the type that gets picked on. He's extremely tall about 6'4" maybe 6'5" at this point and kinda awkward. He's in his senior year of High School and I don't think he has a lot of friends but he's a good kid. The smartest thing his parents did was to not allow him to have a facebook or other account. They know what would happen if he did. So by not having one sure he's cut off in someways from the other kids but he's also not prey to those that would use it against him by acting as a "friend" only to turn on him, etc.
