A very wise man told me some advice on my wedding day. He told me he was married 45 years. Here are his rules:

1) Yes Dear (that is your go to answer for everything)
2) You get to ignore rule 1 only one time in every 20. Save your arguments for those things that are supper important.

Here is what you have to ask yourself. Is having your friend at the party worth 19 blanket Yes Dears?

Afraid they have, I had my best (wo)man attend my bachelor party. She's like another guy to all of my friends. And other friends if mine have had a girl at there's. This isn't the 1950's anymore.

I would send best friend and wife-to-be on a weekend jaunt together and if they come back friends, get married. If the wife hates her, call off the wedding because the torture will never stop.

I am not a product of the 50's, however I do not feel that my beliefs/feelings were only good in the 50's. She may act like another guy but she is not, she is a girl.

So when the guys are all hanging out drinking beer, talking shit about football, cars, and some cute girls ass that just walked by she is doing the same???

LOL in my case yes. She doesn't swing that way but laughs about it and chimes in that the girl is out of a buddy's league, etc.

I see your point, but there are exceptions I think. Would it be different if she were a lesbian? I'd still let her go to the bachelorette party at that point even if she thought my fiancee was hot :P

Same here. She grew up in a neighbor hood of all boys but is straight as an arrow. She can school most of my friends when it comes to sports as well. I see no reason at all why she shouldnt be able to attend the party. Its one thing if she was a friend and not in the wedding. Its a whole other story if she is the best man. Shes being treated like one of the guys at the wedding and reception, she should be able to partake in the bachelor activities. Its being quite sexist omitting her just because she is a female.
