I just test drove a 2014 grand cherokee, dealer got one in early (didnt even know it was arriving)...i was pretty disappointed. The 8spd is horrible (drives exactly how you would think...has too many gears, doesnt know which one to pick), interior is ehhhh, kinda overdone for a jeep (felt like more fiat then jeep), shifter is horrible (same as the charger, which everyone complains about). I do like the looks of it though, hopefully they at least get the trans programmed better.

This is the first I have ever heard of the 8 speed having ANY hunting issues. It could be because of it's brand new nature too. It does have adaptive software in the transmission so it does have to be driven for the transmission to adapt and to get the best performance out of it (also the shifter is the same one used by Audi and BMW with the same transmission).. The interior is awesome and FYI, Fiat has NOTHING to do with the interior style or exterior style of any Jeep Chrysler or Dodge and in fact the 14 interior is just an updated version of the award winning 2011 interior to use the new unconnect and some upgraded interior materials.

Maybe, it had just come off the truck, but it was very sloppy feeling. Not saying the interior quality was bad...it just felt like i was in a space shuttle...waaaaay too over the top. Gauges were all digital and odd looking, console was huge and weird looking, and the tiny little shifter looked out of place. just my .02, but based on my testdrive, it's not for me. I just read a review on the new charger, and the complaints were very similar (Trans and shifter). Overall, i liked the '13 durango better, granted it was an r/t vs the v6 GC, but i liked everything about it better.

They are pretty nice and finally a decent part 2 to the 1st gen Durango. Never cared for the 2nd gen, way too much minivan in it's looks.

I know kill me with fire, but I like the trailhawk trim of this and the interior is very nice. Also it comes with a locker in the rear. This is by far better than anything else in it's class.

Low the trailhark, true 4WD with low range, locking rear diff, etc, etc.

I may just look into one of these. They are really growing on me. I really like the interior.

Much nicer than all the other boring stuff in it's class.
