According to an individual that participated in a market research study which included a near-production version of the 2015 Mustang, this is closer to what it looks like.

and he was able to confirm the 2.3l ecoboost will make 310hp and that there was a v8 ecoboost option of some kind available. Sounds pretty cool. I'm interested to see if GM follows suit with a turbo 4 available.

I had read before that Ford could be offering turbo 4, V6, and V8 options, but if those numbers for the Turbo 4 are correct, it is likely making around 300 TQ as well and thus probably makes the V6 pointless. I hate to say that, as I really hope to see more V6 options for mustang/camaro in the future although I know a 310/300 turbo four would be pretty fun to drive with the nice range of torque.

As for that rendering...I like it overall....not completely in love but it is cool. I'd say seeing something like that in person would look better. If what the guy said was true, sounds like the rear end is pretty cool. That rendering still retains mustang cues which I think is a good thing. Honestly it almost looks like a current gen mustang with a completely new front end, which is a bit strange because it just looks pasted on. I'm sure the real deal is better.

If that is remotely close then I'm amazed. I didn't think Mustang could get fuglier than the current one. Nope. I was wrong.

Looks like a 2-door Fusion ('13+) with some Mustang cues. It's not a bad look but it takes personality away from the Mustang. The current Mustang, Camaro, Challenger all have their own look and they stand out from other coupes today (import and domestic). Their retro look is cool but it doesn't attract everyone. It appears Ford is going for a more conservative look for the Mustang and I'm sure GM/Chrysler will follow the same path with the Camaro/Challenger. The more conservative design will likely attract more potential buyers in the future.

If you go to mustang heavens site you will see that these are all artist renditions. No one knows what this thing is going to look like outside of the design dept and hi ups at Ford and I'm sure they're not 100% sure of the final product.

Looks great to me, looks like it's trying to eat everything on the road. I believe that Ford has *unofficially* said this has been the closest rendering so far.
