There was another thread started where I was the 4th one that posted in it. (starts at post #69) I didn't search or know THIS thread existed. A mod obviously merged the two.

I think KITT calls him Mike because the New driver's name is Mike Tracer, not Michael Knight. Michael Knight makes a special appearance but is not the main character. At least that's what I got from the home page for the movie.

To make it follow along w/ the original series?

Meh...well, that's what I think. It's cool if the main character is going to be someone else. That makes sense. But, I think the "soul" of Kitt should still be the same...same voice, etc. Just my opinion!
