The question is if the situation were to happen of my life or my childrens lives to be put in danger, how far would the situation escalate? As stated, kill them and we go to court, wound them and we go to court, let them take your car and you live to drive another day? I just hope it never happens. THANK YOU for keeping us all free. You and all of those in our military are the model Americans. You may not hear it enough, so once again THANK YOU!

I think everyone here would agree that you never want to be in this type of situation. But if it does happen, being prepared is your only defense. Every situation will be different and it is hard to say what you would do at the time, but if it were to escalate to the point of life threatening or bodily harm hopefully you would be able to protect yourself or your family. If it comes to this I guess you would just have to do what you have to do and deal with the aftermath later. With your background I think you would know what to do. JMO.

Yes , but you have to leave it in the car . How many people get mugged while in their car ? It's usually on the way to their car . I have a Texas CHL , and I carry at condition 0 .

I either carry my S&W M&P .40 or S&W 1911PD in the winter , during the summer I carry a Sig P232sl in the summer .

That's why you wait till he goes to sit in the car , then you shoot him in the left ear , then call the insurance company to come clean out the grey matter.

I have a holster for my 3" barreled Kimber 1911 mounted under the driver seat using some zip ties. It's really stable, easily accessible, and you can't tell its there unless you already know where it is. I had a couple people look around the car from the outside and in, sit in the driver seat to see if they could find it and none could... until I told them exactly where it was.

Chose this instead of the glove box or center console cause I'm in the city quite a bit and I've had one of my previous cars broken into before.

Not sure if anyone else has done this cause I just skimmed this thread. If anyone is interested in some pics just ask.

Also, I'm considering modifying the rear folding seat to conceal my ar-15 and a few mags encase all hell breaks loose and I'm away from home. Has anyone done or seen this?

I have a Georgia carry permit but rarely tote, mostly because I need to get a smaller pistol. My Rossi .357 is just too big and hard to conceal. Any suggestions on a light semi-auto with some punch?

I have a Keltec 9mm that holds 8 + 1 single stack with a laser and it is relativily light and very easy to conceil anywhere and not very expensive on top of that

only bad part is it does not have a safety but the trigger pull on it is pretty stout

Hold both a Texas and Florida carry permit! good thing about Fla's its accepted in more states and is a WEAPONS permit allowing knives, batons, and other instruments.

I carry either a H&K .45C or Taurus .38 snubby...

PF9? I have a KelTec P11 (10+1) with a Hogue rubber grip and the pinky extension on the magazine. I carry in an IWB Uncle Mike's holster, barely notice it most of the time. Great little pistol with a punch!

Not sure I follow your question. It would logical that those who have a concealed permit would indeed carry their firearm. Additionally I am not aware of any laws that distinguish a difference between a weapon being loaded, but not chambered. For example, a revolve is either loaded or unloaded. While there are laws some states that require the firearm and ammunition be carried in 2 separate containers while in the vehicle, I have never seen a law that says it can be loaded but not chambered.

It would also stand to reason that states that allow for concealed carry and have reciprocity agreements with other states would not restrict you from carrying the weapon in your vehicle.
