Thats pretty ironic coming from someone who has a car that weighs over 4,000 lbs. Bet that alluminum block is helping weight distribution a bit?

Incidentally, going strictly by manufacturer specs, the 2011 GT500 has a curb weight of 3820lbs, versus 3860lbs for a manual-trans Camaro SS. Do the math. Finally, for someone with an SS to rag on a GT500 (or vice-versa) with regards to its weight issues is something I find rather ironic myself; kinda like Fat Bastard telling Jabba the Hutt he needs to go on a diet...

BTW, I had a SN95 Mustang before the Camaro and I miss the old days of 3,300 pound curb weight. Ohhh boy.....this could go back and forth all day if we all of really let it. Import guy says this, Camaro guy says that, Mustang comes out of left field. All were missing is Challenger guy and Euro dude, where they at?

![]() Mine weighed in at 3,780lbs stock with a 1/3 tank of fuel and 3,660lbs on the rims you see in my sig pic. Car & Driver's 2011 GT500 PP weighed in at 3,751 so the discrepancy is due to fuel in the tank. Try a google search on the 2011 GT500 next time before you attempt to put down a fellow member. Yes my hand built aluminum engine helps out its weight distribution. I'm planning on getting Grigg's racing suspension and 2 piece rotors soon and that should bring my curb weight down to 3,4XXlbs w/ my CF drive shaft and catless H pipe I have waiting to go on.
