Yeah in was filling a bit feendish... And you are correct it was a nearly identical run in either car.

I love that both the camaro and mustang, in v6 form, compete directly with the genesis v6 in multiple comparisons. So embarrassing for hyundai. Ford and Chevy both stepped it up big time for this generation of 6ers.

We may come to eat these words if Hyundai drops that 5.0L in the Genesis lol. IMO, the Genesis just isn't in the same league as the other pony cars when it comes to looks.

I would think that's because the 4.6 had a 3 speed auto. With the 5 and 6 speed autos the gearing is closer together so the ratio advantage of a stick is not there any more. I agree that if the LS3 came with the auto it would own the fastest stock record.

The 4.6 had a 5 speed auto and 5 speed manual. There haven't been any 3 speed autos in the s197 body style mustang.

How much would that cost - 50k? The v6 genesis is already priced in v8 camaro and mustang territory and when compared to those two it gets RAPED like a thai hooker in prison.

Why would the v8 version cost 20000 more?

I've been on auto forums for a decade and this is the first time I've seen people with a car that doesn't fit in with the boards category, hang around day in and day out boasting superiority.

I enjoy conversation with anyone who loves cars and racing, but they have to be open minded enough to respect everything in the category for what they are capable of, or it just reaks of fanboyism.
I salute you, sir. They must've been banned from the blue-oval forum, can't find one(google-search, really), really just wish to have a bowtie or want to start crap. It's a CAMARO forum. If you love the ford crap, really, take it to your ford forum. I can tell you I've lined up against a 5.0 with slicks(not drag-radials) and cai and he was mid-upper 12's. I was ahead of him at the 1/8th mile mark with my v6. Not as drop to the knees impressed as some here, sorry.

And yet this thread and most of the Mustang posts have been in the "vs" section or the "General Automotive" area.

I'm a member of The Mustang Source forums, ChallengerTalk, a few Corvette forums and general muscle car forums..and rarely do I find this kind of attitude there.

Most of the non-Camaro people here just enjoy good debate, fun conversations and learning. The few who come simply to stir crap up are usually shown the door pretty quick. People like you, however, do not seem to understand that fact, and want to live in a world where nothing but Camaro's are discussed and seeing non-Camaro people just gets in your hide and doesnt stop.

And it's still a camaro forum and most of the mustang troops will jump on anything mentioned about the mustang here. Take it to the mustang forum is all I'm saying. If your butt hurts, I don't really give a crap. I don't care how many forums you may be on. Stirring crap is stirring crap. Did you post the v6 mustang run on the corvette forum? Probably not because they'd tell you to get your crap out of there too.

Apparently I'm really not the only one on here that wonders why this gets brought to a Camaro forum and shoved at us.

If it bothers you so much why do you:
A: Come to the General Automotive+ Other Cars Discussion

and

B: Read the thread when you obviously know what the subject of it is?
