I think some people are just too hung up with the transformer thing.

Its a camaro, not freaking bumblebee. It's old. "hey look, bumblebee is in my driveway because I own a yellow Camaro that isnt even close to the hue that bumblebee was in the movie".

And if Ford uses the word "transform", let them. They are entitled to use any word in Websters Dictionary. Some people read into it so much. I think they have the right to use it. New power inside through the mustang model lineup. I would say "reborn" would be a better word used for the camaro instead of transformed. The Camaro died in 2002, "reborn" in 2010.

If someone really wanting push this non-issue, then Volkswagon could use the transformer and bumblebee thing to push out a new Beetle. (Since the original bumblebee was a VW beetle). I like to see a Transformer edition Beetle, so that this fade can have its nail in its coffin. I mean, I understand that some people do it to entertain and put a smile on their kids face while getting the joy of having a car toy for themselves; but when out with the grown-ups.......hang it up. Its like Bob Saget trying to fit into a rap video.

I used to have a 1966 mustang fastback and I can't tell you how many nimrods would tell me that their brother, uncle, dad, friend had a CAMARO just like mine!!! I would always respond, wow that is a rare Camaro.

In fairness, both cars can attribute some of their styling success to Volkswagon for making retro cool with what was the NEW BEETLE.

The 2010 GT beat the 2010 Camaro in sales for the fiscal year of 2010. I know the Camaro was late to the party.

The Camaro had 12 months of higher sales.

But it might turn out the Mustang is again the sales leader in 2011. That would make the 12 months the camaro had just a moral victory.

Audi (VW's kin) already let one of their cars be used in Transformers 2 and it got cut in half.....

I believe GM said the Camaro was a mix of retro and current style.

The Challenger and Mustang are retro though. Although the new rear end on the Mustangs is not reminiscent of anything past imo.

I don't know how many times it has to be said, but the first month of availability for the '11 mustang, it sold more than the same month of the camaro, the first month the camaro was available and any other month since it's release. The '11 mustang is quite successful so far. I wouldn't call over 11,000 sales in the first month "****ed" maybe "**** yeah."
