 My Father in Law's B-24, "The Shack". He did his thirty five missions with his first, in support of the D-Day invasion. He took several flak and fighter hits, but always made it back to his Base in Northern England. This was a later photo as a piece of armor plate is partially covering the naked lady in the aircrafts nose art. She was later painted onto the plate and remained there for the duration. Certainly one of the "Greatest Generation". |

Anybody fly into the Chicago area in the last couple of days? I had two landings on Monday night, and they were absolutely the most difficult landings I've ever done. On the first one, I got the stick shaker twice (without getting a windshear warning) just because of the gustiness. It was crazy.
