There are 3 components to the BCS poll, one of which is the average of 6 computer polls with the highest and lowest ranking thrown out. That's the part that he is refering to. OSU is ranked #1 by the computers only. The BCS uses the human polls too, so OSU ends up lower in the BCS.

BTW, Alabama and LSU play eachother soon, as do OSU and OU. Oregon and Stanford also play. These rankings are going to change like crazy in the next few weeks.

Richardson's run was pretty good but this one is better in my opinion and this was 2 years ago. He was a true Freshman then.

Alabama looks pretty good but then again it was Ole Miss. Alabama will get it's test on Nov 5 against LSU.

Ok St did not impress me this week, even though they won......they kinda seemed down a little or maybe flat. So they will definitely have to pick it up before they play OU.

Texas is a young team, plain and simple...once they get a little bit of seasoning they will be a force.

OU had a lackluster performance this week but that was to be expected after the RRR, they will bounce back and be fine.

BCS came out and it is like I said earlier it will come down to LSU/AL vs OU/OSU winner if they both handle their business.

Clemson was the surprise of the weekend in my opinion coming back from 18.....The freshman Sammy Watkins is a player....he should be in the Heisman talks. I know he a is a freshman but he can play.

Boise St will continue to drop because they play no one.

In all reality this is when the polls should come out, after we have seen a few games and can really see what a team is about. Problem is that too many teams are ranked highly in pre-season only to fall apart after a few weeks like Miss St, Fl St, etc......I really do not want to put Florida in there because they lost their QB but that just goes to show you what happens when you put a lot of stock in the QB......On play can ruin your season.

Would be nice to see Kansas State come and shake up the rest of their schedule wonder what that would do to the rest of the BCS rankings and the BIG nothin'! HAHA

Read a few articles last night across the web (CBS Sportsline, Google news, etc.) that stated even though Stanford and Boise etc. are up there in the ranks it doesn't matter to the +1 of the BCS statistics...though they were stupid enough to comment on the fact that Clemson doesn't really play anyone else of note except ACC teams...well 2 or 3 of those teams in the schedule still have a BCS ranking in the top 25...so like I said before the BCS is BS for all the computation and statistical BS...but it would be a killer to see them try to explain at the end of the season why Kansas State would not have a shot at the national title if they pull off 2 or 3 upsets within their own conference.

As for me and mine...I'm still kickin' on GSU being #1 6-0 overall and 5-0 in our conference we stomped on Furman 50 to 20 this weekend though still have a tough remaining schedule...would be nice to see a close game against Alabama...I know it would help OU if we beat them or at least had a tight score. Every bit helps to the needy right? HAHA

Will be fun to watch the trash talk in the coming weekends... ENJOY!!!

This makes 4 of 6 games that OU came out and looked like crap in the first half. The two they didn't was Ball St. and UT. Ut is a rivalry game and Ball St. is....... well...... Ball St. lol

Yeah they were pissin me off that first half!
It just seems they dont pull there heads out of ther butts till the second half. They have got to quit that or another team is just going to put it on them in the first half and catchup is no fun or easy to do.

ahh...Ok. I see. My bad. I clicked really fast through the sports page this morning, and must have skipped right over that....or selective blindness...and didn't WANT to see that! LOL!
