Guy at the local shooting range/gun shop recommended the CZ P01 over the M&P. I'll just have to find time to get down there and shoot them.

Personal preference, I guess. He said "the M&P was a 6.5 in his book".

Was just curious. Haven't tried a CZ yet though I've heard good things about them. I have a M&P pro that is kinda big for concealed carry, but real nice to shoot. Also have the 22 version. Happy with both

I offered to take a coworkers son shootting with me but after his mom saw my M30 with a vortex sight, militarty style hand grip, rails, and a folding stock i got a defiant NO. So i sbowed her a pic of the same gun except it was pretty plain with a wooden stock, no grip and regular iron sights, she then said ok.

When i told her it was the same gun she kind of looked at me in disbelief. I then sbowed her a pic of all the different configurations you can do with my rifle. She said she felt dumb afterwards. I then assured her that she was.

Her reaction doesn't surprise me. Current military-style rifles do have a rather angry, all-business look to them that isn't present in a traditional hunting rifle, and the whole idea of variable configurations for the same basic weapon wasn't to my knowledge popular in the civilian world until fairly recently.

In other news, earlier this afternoon the state of New Jersey issued me a Firearms Purchase ID card. Took a little over 2 months from the time I'd got all the necessary things lined up (digital fingerprinting, consent for release of mental health records, references' reports). All that for a little card having a $5 fee that's good indefinitely, but I can't legally do much with guns by myself without it. Pistol purchase permits are separate and time-limited from the date of issue.

Anyone familiar with Adams Arms? According to the site, it's a piston AR on sale for $761. Wouldn't be a bad deal if its a reliable weapon. I'm just wondering how they are able to sell this piston AR for this much when HK sells their for twice as much. I may skip buying this though. Probably going to invest in a nice gun safe and maybe get this later when it cost 3 times as much. Not %100 just yet.

I dont know much about nothing, but I think pistons run heavier and H&K is designed to fire after falling in water. (it's a survival thing)

In stock at grabagun 749 + 5.99 shipping. (cheaper than shipping ammo)
I have bought from them. They ship fast out of TX.

Adams Arms is the leading manufacturer of piston driven ARs and make some the most reliable piston ARs on the market. If given the choice between HK and Adams, I would choose the Adams.

Had a nice day at the range today, light rain so it is cooling down (finally)

Went through about 250 - 350 rounds of 9mm out of a few new firearms. Just a nice relaxing time, had to boast about it.

Over the last day, I've processed to be ready to load over 1k of .308, a few hundred pieces of .223, and loaded about 100 .223.

I'm getting ready to go on a loading marathon of 308/223/10mm.
