Sorry man... Whats your major exactly?

Just keep looking is all I can tell you. There are a lot of aeronautics jobs around here because of the air force base.

Aviation Maintenance. Going to have an A&P rating so I can work on airframes (fuselage, wings, tail, flight controls, electronics/avionics) and powerplants (engines) w/ the FAA's authorization.

FAR147 school attendance as per FAA requirements, 2000hrs training, 4 year bachelors in Applied Science = WMU's AMT degree.

All I have to do is get security clearance to work as a military contractor.. Would be nice to be honest. Pay's probably just as respectable as the civie sector. Heard though that if you work in the sand box for uncle sam they waive income taxes. <_<

Oh, also rebuilt my HDD today (inside my car.. XD). I love Newegg. Case needs some vent holes though, so I'll drill a few this week. :( Loving the on/off switch.. and it's a nice hand warmer though.

That they do. And you get combat zone pay in addition to base pay.

Its actually a pretty rocking deal.

And getting a security clearance isn't that bad. I had to get one (federal top secret) at enlistment for my Guard job.

Yeah.. but I'm on the tubby side (280) so I doubt I'd be much good other than being ammo b!tch and wrench monkey if the psychos decided to drop in on a base n' go boom. Ain't NO way I'm fitting inside a KC-135 tank access hole. Let alone an A-10.. which from what I know need to be inspected after almost every friggin flight.

But hey, it pays to have kick ass close air support with a giant gun. The main spars are just.. 40 friggin years old and pull 5-6 Gs every day.

AAAHHHH! I am so petrified to go on a plane next March break!

We always go away for 2 weeks. However, I cannot go on another plane,
I can't take the stress of it moving, turbulence etc....
I NEVER even get up to go to the washroom.
All the Valium in the world won't help me!

Don't worry. Triple/quadruple redundancy of every system on any airliner required by FAA LAW (and US Fed law by association) means you're more safe than in a Camaro on the freeway at 200km/hr.

Seriously, any aircraft operated by Air Canada or what not is also going to be cert'ed by the CAA and FAA. And they're tough/gripey SOBs. Reliability and safety is #1.

TLDR: Airplanes are more safe than if your Camaro had a lovechild with a Volvo.

Nothing will make me feel better!:(
We don't fly Air Canada.( they are so rude and the prices are over the top). Here everyone complains about them.
We were always on Air Transat or Delta. Believe it or not I am
very picky with who I fly with!
