My dad owns a small business in the heart of downtown Houston and if ur not keeping an eye on ur customer then things start to go missing quick.

there's been so many mass shootings around here lately.... some lady went off and shot up a bunch of people yesterday here.... the world just isn't what it used to be. Since I got off early, I swung by the gun shop on the way home (BS'd a bit with the guys)...... gotta quit going in there, I'll never save up for a racecar

Nation wide the average is 1 out of 10 customers will steal from you. Same thing with employees.

Its always been that way. There just hasn't been an internet to advertise it. Case and point:

I do think the news/internet has a lot to do with it.... you sure hear about stuff a lot faster. I'm thinkin about starting to carry my AR in my trunk on my commute

We had some guy dressed in a business suit open fire at some people in the park in downtown today. Was on the news 45 mins ago.

I remember all the school shooting in the Detroit schools when I was a kid. Never hit the national news so it never got sensationalized. We never thought much of it back then, for good or bad.
