Somebody say "45s"? Sixty years' difference in Colt production. I've taken parts from both and swapped them; works fine.

A knock-off; Auto-Ordnance. But this pistol got into a calendar. That and six bucks can buy me a beer almost anywhere. I still plan on having work done to this one to make it ultra-reliable.

Mag has to permanently fixed, but the 2nd Amendment compliant release assembly will be here Thursday. <$10. Just have to dig out some epoxy and pop the set screw. Then I can switch to fixed for the range here or to removable for fighting zombies, lol. I'm not from NY and only plan to be here a couple more years at the most.

I love me some good Bourbon. But truth be told, when I think "45" I think "Colt". And when I think Whiskey, I think "Scotch Whisky".

My first Colt, a model 1903 in .32 ACP made in 1920. This is how the refined and considerate gentleman protects the Holiday Spirits. The crash of a 45 report echoing through the halls would disrupt things un-necessarily. Bad for the digestion. I love this thing because you can see how the ancestors of the Colt 1911 had begun to creep into production.

Holster

I just purchased a Springfield XDs 9 3.3" barrel. I'm curious on what holsters you guys are using for conceal carry? My dealer highly recommended Alien Gear any thoughts? Thanks

If you go back a page or 3, we were talking about holsters..... No experience here with Alien Gear.

I use Alien Gear for IWB for both my Shield and Glock 17. They're about as comfortable as an IWB holster will ever get.

They have a really good deal if you buy two holsters, and if you ever buy a new gun you can just send the old shell back for a new one for free I believe.

I have a couple too. I like them, but I don't carry every day. It's more comfortable than I expected when driving. They can be adjusted for ride hieght and angle. Fasteners are kind of cheap and work loose when used a lot. All things considered I would recommend to a friend
