Just curious...what kind of places do you guys live in that you're concerning yourselves with carring your weapons with you and being able to access them quickly and easily?

I own a few firearms and taking them out of my house unless I'm bringing them to a range or keeping them loaded in the house are two things I never do.

The motto "Be Prepared" comes to mind. When it comes to protecting my life or the life of someone I love I would whether have it and never need it than need it and never have it.

It only takes once. The last thing you want to do is be standing around staring at a lunatic with a knife (or worse) wishing you had a way to protect yourself and whoever might be with you.

I don't care where you live or how much you try to prevent going into "shady" areas. People who wish to cause you harm are outliers, they're unpredictable, they're not the norm. You can't predict irrational behavior, only prepare to respond to it.

Carrying a gun, no one knows but me. I don't cause any harm to anyone in my surroundings (I don't pull it out and use it to clear the line at the checkout counter). But if someone starts to threaten me, I'm prepared. If they don't... well I just carry some extra weight and a piece of mind in the small of my back.

I live in Texas where it is legal to carry concealed firearms. I keep them loaded in the house and in the vehicle. It doesn't do any good to have "a gun on the waist and the bullets in the shirt pocket."

To me, carrying around an unloaded gun (on your person or in your vehicle) is like having no gas in your car. When the SHTF, you are not going to have time to load it.

Its an unpredictable world anymore people. Gang bangers, theives, drug addicts, etc. have no compasion for their fellow man. They will take what they can from you and some of them will kill you just to get the $20 in your wallet and not get caught in the process. I will not be one of those people who will loose a loved one and for the rest of my life regret not having been able to take the opportunity to protect them.

That's what I like about my M&P.... I can carry the compact with the smaller magazine in it so its easier to conceal.... all my spares are full size... best of both worlds

"...what kind of sick bitch takes the ice cube trays" Love that line.

Bought the 20 yr. Anniversary ring last year. That helped give me enough box tops to buy the Camaro while she was on vacation and allowed me to get off the hook for not asking permission. Out of box tops now.... need to sell guns to get more guns. :(
