Going to do an engine swap or just fix up the 6?

Guy said the 6 ran fine. Actually being the LH0 I could go find a turbo manifold off of the Turbo version and just have it pump 205hp. Being almost 75% the weight of the 'ploder it should be fun. But I'm going to go through bondo and sand paper like none other on the roof in order to smooth it out. Should have got pics.. looks like someone painted silly putty on it.

But any of the rust I saw was similar to the '86. Fixable at minimal cost. Not to mention it had a sweet Pioneer head in it. (whee!).

Heh. Sounds like you've got a good fixer upper there.

I say go for it!

Prolly will. Guy was really wanting to just move on with it since he's moving and doesn't really need the money, just someone to take the car. His kid is graduating and doesn't need it. Also he found it hard to drive in lake effect (duh.. why did you buy it then?) If it runs fine, and the avg I've found was that it probably was only driven 7000 miles a year, I could hand it off to the bro if the monte decides to puke again.

He (bro) really needs to get out of that car (monte). And if 1500 bucks and 500 in fixes can do it, then so be it. Plus since he goes to Ohio State.. time to pick up the chicks.

Yeah, especially when you have what.. 3-4 inches at best of ground clearance?

brb, gonna check the batt on the edge to see if she's still kosher. Probably go drive back and grab some pics of the specimen.
