heRS, you are partially correct. It is a verb of pontif which directly relates to the pope and the bishops. If a sermon is given by the pope or a bishop it is pontificating.

Chinook is a CH-47 helicopter. They fly over my work area all day every day.

Next word deals with my job
*Geospatial*

Chinook is the name of a north american tribe of indians. I believe today they inhabit the lower reaches of Canada. But what the hell do I know...

Geospatial refers to things that link the surface of our planet (that's the "geo" part) and the part of outer space through which satellites pass in their orbits.

New word: "misanthrope".

Sorry - been away from the game lately (and no, Ivas, "bray" was not too difficult a word ... folks just weren't around )

Attenuate is to taper down to a sharp tip... to come to a point.

new word: "reverberation"

not sure which form of fugue you are looking for...

noun: in music, a fugue is a piece of music that has repeated portions that are slightly varied from one another.

adj: fugue is a psychology term, I think that refers to amnesia. A person enters a fugue state where they still function, but later after exiting the fugue state, are unaware of what happened during the lost time?

If answer(s) are accepted, new word: "parafoil"

DOH! I was too slow ... got phone call in midst of typing LOL

and Scuttlebutt is a rumor, gossip, idle talk ... common term used in US Navy/military.

Last edited by GnyaTek; 10-08-2011 at 12:22 PM. Reason: because I was too damned slow/distracted
