What is the max rpm's our llt can handle before bad things happen? Clutch slipped I know i shot over red, no cel or abnormalities so maybe I got lucky. But still, it got me thinking/worried

I don't think anyone's actually tested that. I believe the rev limiter is at 7100. The ecu should cut any power if the rev limiter is hit to preserve the engine

Alright thanks for that. Didn't get a good look but I know I was over 7k. If there is an actual rev limiter that's perfect.

Yes, there's a rev limiter unless you have had it tuned out.

I actually just asked trifecta to put in a nuetral/clutch pressed rev limiter similar to the automatics.. but they said they couldn't do it. So unless trifecta always raises rev limiter, I think the stock loaded engine rev limiter should still be there.

Ahhhh ok....I thought I would wait till the 6th gen as well. But the 2014 refresh scared me and I am not sure they will have a v8 SS. So I jumped on a 2012 now.

How does that Sonic handle?

The handling is quite nice. I can take turns pretty quick, without a lot of roll. I was shocked. Would love to mod it, but the turbos are integrated into the manifolds, so I could only do basic bolt ons for now. Not really worth it.
