The new logo is a capitulation to the generation of text-speak and a nod to the lack of education in the use of capital letters for proper names.

Plus, it sort of looks like a hi-tech wall socket of some kind...lol.

Check out this engadget link to GM's CES presentation. It's actually a bunch of GM's presentations stitched together to fit within 10 minutes. If you fast forward to 3:00, you'll see several GM EV concepts in dark shadow. Pay attention to the one way in the back on the left. Clearly something sporty this way comes.
