I appreciate that MC, I really truely do.

I think(?) it was a thread for CAI (cold air intake.. I'm learning!). Soooo... the more air (make that colder air) that can be forced into the engine.. the more power gained???

And I've been listening to the UTube exhaust examples. So far I think I like the Solo Mach X catback (one word?). I def don't want obnoxious loud, but the stock seemed a little.. meek(?). I'll have to rattle Boe's cage and see what he thinks of JB's exhaust.

(I'm going to be eating Ramen noodles to pay for goodies after I get this car )

Yup, you got both parts right... Cold air is more dense than warm air. CAI draws air from the grill area rather than under the hood. Under hood air is warmer due to the engine creating heat. The more air you can shove into the cylinder, the better potential to make power.... You'll probably run into A/F (air/fuel) ratio's too eventually. Denser air can suspend more fuel, and more fuel makes more power (to a point). That's why superchargers are popular... They don't cool the air, (air to air aftercooler does that) but they do compress it considerably, then the cylinders compress it even more. All that compressed air can suspend alot more fuel to burn.

Since you won't have a car by april, you can listen to them live at the fest and pick the one you want
