Tony Pendregon's crew rebuilt that whole car in 55mnutes came back and won to advance to the finals....and another Interception by Rodgers

Number 3, what's the difference between the Statesman and Caprice? Isn't Caprice more uplevel?

Statesman is uplevel of the Commodore.

Statesman is a vastly different car from Commodore as far as I know...only shares the front doors/windshield.

No, just different brand for different trim levels. Go to the Holden Website

http://www.holden.com.au/comparemodels

and you can select Caprice and Statesman.

Basically the same LWB Zeta platform. Same basic body and interior trim.
