UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!. Just for the heck of it I did the math. I eat 2-3 dozen eggs a week, I had that thing before I moved into this house 12 yrs ago which means I have boiled from 15,000 - 22,500 eggs in it, give or take a few.

This is BS. I'm so angry right now. I've gained four pounds after working out hard and eating right the last two weeks. I'm seriously in tears. Before this I never watched what I ate and I wasn't working out. How can this even be happening? It's ridiculous. :( and I know it isn't muscle mass I'm gaining because my clothing still fits the same and I still look the same.

Talk about making me want to give up. Shouldn't I be seeing some kind of positive change by now???? I know that "scales lie." but mirrors and my clothes don't ....

BowtieBelle Hang in there. Give it more time. Your body is changing but the scales don't measure it. Stay off the scales! Muscle is dense ahd weighs more per square inch. Fat takes up more room but weighs less per square inch. Right now the changes appear to be balancing out to fool you into thinking nothing is happening. Focus on how healthy you are eating and how good all that healthy food & exercise will make you feel. Take measurements of various body parts (not just the three we females tend to focus on) including arms, legs, etc. Then wait a while before checking either measurements or the scales. Just keep at it. Change will come. Just have a little faith!

I was supposed to work late today so would not get to go to exercize class but my clients cancelled so I went to class. Now this week I will have aerobic workout 4 days instead of 3

*troubled sigh* I hope so. I had given myself five weeks to lose ten pounds before my cruise, as my first benchmark. If this continues I will not achieve that goal. :(

Everything posted above is correct, so be patient and it will happen. The body doesn't react instantly to changes some times, and other times it does. When you gain weight it doesn't happen over night, sometimes it happens over months and years and it sometimes looses weight the same way. The body doesn't like change, it adapts and becomes acustomed to it's enviroment BUT it will eventually change.

A couple of things, first, for the last two weeks you have reduced cals but were not necessarily eating the best way for fat burning but you have been improving so results will come

Obviously, you weighed yourself right before you posted this which is wrong. Here is why, you weighed yourself at the end of the day which means you also weighed everything you have consumed for the day.

One of the biggest reasons people give up is because they are discouraged as you are now, you've made positive changes, worked hard and are not SEEING RESULTS. This does not mean your body isn't changing

Here is what I would recomend. You should pick one day a week, or even every other week, I use Sunday mornings, when you first wake up before you get dressed weigh yourself, check your body fat %, measure yourself or what ever means you use to track progress, this will be your starting point. Always weigh/measure the same way, the same day and on the same scale. The rest of the week stay away from the scale and focus on your present goal, eat right and exercise, that's what you should be concerned with and nothing else,if you eat right and exercise you will have achieved your short term goal which is a step towards your long term goal.

You will most likely start to see changes soon IF YOU DON"T WE WILL TRY SOMETHING ELSE. There is no magic diet plan that works for everyone, you just have to find the right one for you but as we said before stick with ONE PLAN FOR 3-4 WEEKS and then if needed we can make adjustments.

Everyone here has gone through what you are going through but have overcome it as will you, stay focussed and you will succeed.

I could see a few things that could be changed BUT it does look pretty good and even more importantly you are getting results so I would say keep it up, you have been making steady progress in all areas and that is fantastic.

Sarah, girl when I was doing Insanity and P90X, I never lost a pound I actually gained weight but I wore smaller clothes and looked very fit. This is why we tell you to ignore the scale. But if you just have to see, do like CFD said, weigh in the morning!

Keep it up girl, you will see results. I tell people to stay away from the scale for this reason exactly, they get discouraged.

Thought of the Day:

Feeling discouraged? Get up, dig deep and find the COURAGE that is ALREADY within you to ENCOURAGE yourself to keep pushing FORWARD to your goals! No one said it would be easy, but nothing worthwhile ever is! Straighten your hat - saddle up and GO!
