The ad made me chuckle a little thats about it.

But...the Camaro has been on TV shows and thats better advertisement. We have been on Human Target and Glee and I think a couple sit-coms. Hell there was a 72 Camaro on LOST, it was Hurley's car that he was restoring with his father, played by Cheech Freaking Marin!

Challenger has been on NCIS: LA.......dud.

Ford has been buying air time for commercials on quality shows which is more expensive.

GM's marketing has been pretty business savvy, the only thing I wished was Jack Bauer woulda tore through the streets of NYC in a Camaro instead of a Genesis coupe

Why is the SRT-8 10k more than the SS and $1000 more for the manual?

How does that make any sense?

The most important thing in that whole statement is that Hyundai is buying the most effective product placement. Hyundai is everywhere. Isn't NCIS top 25 for the last 5 years?

NCIS:LA is in it's first new season.

If you are referring to Jack Bauer in 24, than yeah thats a pretty popular show.

You are asking the same question I asked when I was looking between the Challenger SRT-8 and the Camaro. I couldn't find $10,000 more car in the Challenger, so I went Camaro.

The logic of "uhhh demand is crap because there are still last years model year cars on the lots!!" is retarded. I promise you there will be ALOT of spare 2010 Camaro's on the lot well into this year when the 2011's are there.

On average Dodge sells around +/- 90% of the monthly production run of the Challenger. Thats huge and impressive. Some months it is over 100% of the average monthly production.

Challenger= low volume
Charger=Medium volume
Camaro=Medium Volume

And yes, in general the auto R/T's are running neck and neck with the auto Camaro SS's. My best was 13.26 in a DA of 1400 feet with just a K&N Cold Air kit and 3.06 gears.
Shave off 200 pounds and it would be difficult to tell the difference in times between a L99 and a R/T Auto. The SS has a bit more of an edge as it stands now because it is slightly lighter (4100lb race weight vs 3900ish race weight) and has better gearing, and thats it.

The 5.7L's respond beautifully to mods and 12.6/7/8 isnt uncommon in average conditions out of cars with just a cat back, shorty headers, DR's and a tune. Folks with long tubes and more extensive mods are getting better times.

Yes the Camaro is more popular and you see more good times out of them..because there are more Camaro's out there racing. The average Challenger owner isnt going to go down and drag race, so you get more isolated times. There are just as many Camaro owners who are turning in mid-high 13's as there are R/T owners.

So in short, I dont have a factory freak, my car is an average example of the R/T Auto breed. So I ask you..if my cars 13.2 is slow and makes it a pig, does that not also make the similar runs out of the automatic Camaro's a pig too?

This may well be true, but generally the auto Challengers are getting better times than the manual Challengers. And I believe that generally the manual Camaros are getting better times than the auto Camaros.

When you run manual vs manual, I'd bet on the Camaro.

That is a pretty damned cool commercial, I have to say! All prejudices aside, the whole premise of the ad is pure rocknroll
