I want to thank YOU for serving us here at home!!!...

My Dad was a Volunteer Fireman for our hometown for 60 YEARS until he passed away in 2008...he was honored for his 60 yrs just 6 months before he died...

I think he was hanging on for that milestone, because for 3 yrs prior to that time, he kept saying to me, "I just want to get my 60 yrs, and then I am ready to pack it in", and that is EXACTLY what happened...................

But, I am thankful that he got his awards and accolades for his many yrs of service to our community...

My mom drug is to an Avon convention at the Queen Mary. He was walking out as we were walking in. The Beach Boys and him just happened to be playing that day for free to boot! I looked like such a dork! LOL ~
