If I lived near a mountain road or track (and I may in retirement) I'd get a ZLE with a manual in a minute, but for street brawling with M4s and M5s it just doesn't make any sense - you're going to get killed off the line and in freeway rolls...it's all about priorities...I don't like to lose to M assholes

I think the ZLE harsh ride is overblown and really not warranted. There is only a marginal difference IMO (I have a '12 ZL1 and a '22 ZLE.) On a pothole littered road, both cars bounce around and shake your teeth. Both cars track onto grooves \ cracks on the road surface. On a smooth road, they both ride and handle similarly until you drive the ZLE deep into the flat corner. When those sticky, wide tires and that suspension bite and you accelerate out of a corner, adrenaline pumps in a very capable sports car. The '12 ZL1 is only a fraction slower but on a technical track, that disadvantage equates to a couple of seconds. My advice is if you are new to ZL1's, start with a non-ZLE. If you have had a ZL1 or just want the baddest Camaro ever built, step up to the ZLE and filter the noise out of the ZL1 vs. ZLE harsh ride discussions. Enjoy the G force!

To each their own. If your going to track it I guess ZLE. If not a ZL1 is fine. I think the ZL1 has better looking wheels and I know it serves a purpose, but I do not like the looks of the wing and extra body panels. Best wishes either way.

I'm older, but I remember back in the day that if you had a BMW (I never did), it was a status thing and your life was going pretty decent salary wise. Now you can lease, a low tiered version for the same price as a Hyundai give or take.
