I understand its a great driver, but there have been no lap times released yet, so we can't really compare it to much. And regardless of its lap time, Lexus doesn't have the prestige (or the styling) to release a car that costs that much!

Even if it makes faster laps than the ZR1 Vette or the ACR Viper, it would have to really blow it out of the water to be worth 3x the price. 375k wouldn't seem worth it for a car thats maybe a second or two faster.

And the cars in its actual price range are exotic super/hyper cars! Many of them the legacy and prestige of decades of race history, and the styling to match.

I just can't imagine the person who would show up to an event and park their ugly lexus that looks like the bastard child of Supra, an R8 and a Lancer, next to a bunch of high end ferraris and lamborghinis and feel justified that they payed the same price.

couldn't have said it better, my same thoughts. seems like a failed attempt by toyota/lexus to get into market segment that IMO, they don't belong in.

if i was going to dish out 375,000, i'd buy a ZR1, a Camaro, then use my extra funds to customize them to my likings. and then throw a gigantic party with my leftover money for Camaro5.....

I vote yay, against the enemy. It's a great technical exercise. But I couldn't pay 400,000 for a Toyota/Lexus. They'll sell all 500, but I think most would prefer a Ferrari for that kind of money.

I wouldn't be mad if someone gave me one.....................but I would sell it and buy a ZR1, a Grand Sport, a Camaro SS, a Tahoe LTZ, a Terrain SLT, a Sky Red Line, a GMC Pickup and maybe keep the rest just in case Shnomac's dream car comes true.

I might have enough left for Pizza and a bottle of wine.
