Get along?
everyone online gets along fine. just keep in mind, you are sending out messages to people from all walks of life and everyone is opinionated.
There are also people online who have widely ranged ages. These age groups think radically differently. if you don't like people's responses, you should not participate. |

Well, What I think the JarHead (BumbleD) is trying to say is that, yes, you can have your opinion, just not stated rudely, or belittling. As there where already a couple in this thread about the TFE. If you do not like something someone else says or likes, you can state it without being a Jack A$$.
I do not care for some color's as well, but unless I know the person well, I will not say negative things. Same as special options on cars. Some people like that, that is why we have so much variety in the USA. And Props to the Jarheads that served our Country - Thank you!

Yellow
Was looking for any info on center caps or tail light bezels in black since I don't want to paint them. Had the factory 20's powder coated and trying to get rid of the rest of the chrome. That search brought me to this thread.
Yellow is my favorite color. Had a '55 Willys CJ5 with a '57 283 2bl in High School. Wanted to paint it yellow when finished with it. Got smoked in a wreck and the frame was bent. Wanted a H2 in yellow since I saw that first commercial. Impractical, and not fun like a car. But, the announcement last year that China now has Hummer sealed the deal. Wanted the new Camaro since they got it in the works a few years ago. It was going to be yellow. Have a '68 1st Gen and a '91 3rd I bought new when I graduated from HS. Black and Teal, respectively. Saw the IOM on the website and was intrigued. Got to the dealership where they had both yellow and orange. Ordered mine, but was leaning way towards the orange that day. Wow-told the friend I was with . . . never mind yellow. Even if the Orange was not so fantastic, the proverbial straw was the fact that I asked the salesman what the emblems were for on the yellow one, and what he told me. Knew of the movies-a friend told me her ex took their kids mid single digit age-to the movie. Graphic violence, etc. Missed out on the Cartoon and heard it is a great special effects movie, but not my type. Don't want people to think I am a 16 year old who never grew up with the Camaro being King of the Pony Car version of a Musclecar. Sorry for the diatribe, but Camaro lovers are intelligent and buzzed through my post in no time! |

If it wasnt for the movies this car would have never done as well. Deal with it. Give credit where credit is due. I have a lil black Skorpinok hanging from my rearview and the day I picked it up I took a CD with me the first two songs were. What Ive Done and New Divide. I see people dropping 200bucks on SLP SS emblems which is far beyond what a special edition car purchase for 900 bucks merits. I just love black cars but any homage to the catalyst that really had a big part in this cars success is welcome and respected in my book. I know this place is a bit of a Corvette hangout too but its a Camaro, its a totally different car with a different set of buyers. To those with the Transformer Editions good for you and I hope you have the best of times in your cars and whenever you see anything from the movies you look out in your driveway and really feel the attachment to your car everytime. On a side note Im really looking at doing a reverse scheme much like the Stealth Bumblebee toy. Take no shit from anyone.

Do not really care how the car did or "done as well". Great for General Motors, etc., but I would have bought mine if they sold 5 Camaros. No idea what those songs are, nor what a " lil black Skorpinok" is. Not trying to disparage anyone for their particular taste in movies, but I never wanted someone to say that my 2ss with Rally Stripes looked like a movie car. |

The TFE Camaro is just a continuation on the "cartoon car" theme first introduced by Chrystler Corperation back in the late 60's. (Road Runner, Super Bee, etc.). Just another marketing ploy to bring in the younger buyers. I hear Ford is considering a similar statagy. The 2011 Mustang M.L.P. (My Little Ponie). Get 'em while they're hot!

As a Soldier, Marine, Airman, Seaman or Coasty a reminder, we fight for freedom of speech, so I have no issue with anyone posting their attitudes, ideas or insults. I only ask that you refrain from including profanity; No not because I am an angel. I drop the f-bomb as a noun, adjective, and verb, but because there are a number of under-age posters on here who don't need to read it. Say what you want, but please keep it clean. If you want a yellow car with little robot faces all over it...go for it! You'll be laughing at all of us in 20 years when you get an extra 40k for them.

I did not forget knightrider. (Although I wish I could). That falls within the "etc". I've never owned a Camaro but ever since 1976 I've wanted a 1971 Z-28 RS. LT1, 4 speed. Yellow with black stripes. The combination looks damn good. I dont YET drive a Camaro. I'm still deciding on color and options. When I do make my decision, it will have nothing to do with what the younger crowd thinks is cool. I'm buying a car. Not a cartoon character. |
