I personally like anyone who buys the car they want and can afford V6 owners included as well as 4cyl owners included.

Glad you enjoy your SS but no reason to put down the V6 guys or their proposed reason for getting one. They are our Camaro brothers too. And if anybody gets the 4cyl one that is up to them. The specs for that one aren't bad.

Kevin
28 to 30 when he resets it and puts the car in cruise control with no A/C going down hill.

he doesn't reset his MPG for a week he'll find out

I had fun in my v6, but nothing compares to a v8. I'm a Camaro guy, so I love all Camaros, but having buyer's remorse is no joke and I had that. Very happy with my ls3, so please stop using those excuses and keep it real with yourselfs. Again, no shade to the v6 guys, just stating some facts! Anybody out there feel what I'm saying? Chime in and let me know. Thank you..

And now we have page 5, OP hasn't posted here yet again. He will never put his Camaro on a real race track to see if his V8 is faster than a V6. However his V8 rocks his little internet race track. What a fail!!

I see a lot of butt hurt folks on here, but my intentions are not to disrespect the v6 drivers, because like I said, I've owned one myself and it was a fun car to drive, but I never got that, put you in your seat feeling. My mpg is very real. If I don't stomp on it, mpg is great for a 6.2. Between my house insurance and 3 vehicles bundled, my rate is great. I have my suv, 1999 z28 and my 14 ss. And I thought this was a forum to discuss stuff like this, not try and insult! I must of gotten my point out, because we're 5 pages in it! Thank you all for your responses and keep driving our American muscle!! I

In Wyoming...I've been to Wyoming, driving on the highway there is very different then other parts of the country. In New Jersey, I WILL NOT get 28 - 30 on the highway with a V8.

Insurance rate...Again in Wyoming...Rates are not the same everywhere you know.

Anyone who claims 30mpg with the SS is out of their fking rocker. Straight up BS.

At best I've had roughly 24mpg on cruise control with my automatic cruising at around 70mpg at 2k rpm.

Cold air intake, long tube headers and a custom dyno tune.

Tested different speeds for well over 1,500 miles from TX to California.

It doesn't get any better than maybe 25mpg.

Who buys an SS for MPG anyways? That's like saying I'm trying to watch how many calories are in this homemade bacon cheeseburger.

I've got the 2015 2SS L99 and I get between 21 and 25 in mixed driving, not standing on it too much. Only has 2800 miles on it. My 2013 LFX got a little better in the city but not much better on the highway. I've had both and I love the V8. My V6's was a 2LT/RS and a nice car too.

I'm not butt hurt judkins75, I hate taking my car to tracks i.e. 2015 NCM and 2016 Gingerman and having to hold up 5th gen and 6th gen SS's and Z/28's that were in my class while on the straightaways. However those same cars had the same respect for me as I kept there rear view mirrors full of my car in the curves. They gave me the point byes as they knew I was faster overall. I just want to end all the bashing until you get to a track and prove you have a faster car. As a person who has worked on my setup has said. "you will find that 75% of the time at tracks, that it is too much car and not enough driver" I've owned big V8's and love them. My '58 Chevy with a 348 BB Tripower was a hoot!! This car I own now was right for me at the time. Had a chance to upgrade to a SGM SS/RS a year later and just didn't do it because of the economy at the time being so shaky. 5 years later and I have spent more on this car than it will ever be worth if I were to sell it. However it is what I have created and it is a blast!! I giggle like a little kid everytime I go by a "V8" As one person on this forum said " Anyone can make a V8 fast, it takes a complete idiot to make a V6 fast" lol.
