I personally love pretty much ALL Z's. I was a big Z fanatic before I got into Supras. These were my babies: 2005 350Z and mint 1972 240Z: ![]() I restored that rusty 240 from the ground up. Wish I still had it.

Like a douche, I sold it.
I'd give anything to have it back. Oh well, sometimes we do stupid things when we need money bad enough, right?

^Hey bud. Saw the name of this thread when it first came up and wondered when you'd chime in! Seems like the majority here has a wee bit o' respect for the Supra, huh! Good to see you here.

I agree we should set something straight, but I don't think you did. A "Ricer" is not defined by the type car, rather what gets done to it. You say Supras, RX-7s and Skylines are not ricers, but, re-watch The Fast and The Furious (first 2 movies)....the red RX and the orange Supra in the 1st movie are ricers. The silver Skyline in the 2nd movie is a ricer. They just happen to have the HP to keep up with things like Camaros and Corvettes (and a really tuned Charger apparently ).The current Honda Civic Si is a quick car. It isn't going to keep up with a real sports car or a muscle car, but it is quick and handles well. However, if it's kept stock, I don't really think it counts as a ricer. Just a decent, quick little car from the factory. Also, if you want to get technical, that VW Passat that someone was talking about before....that shouldn't really be a ricer....I know it will get lumped in their, but ricers, at least where the term originally came from, meant Japanese. |

Don't get me wrong Dragon...I don't think the term ricer applies to just Japanese vehicles any more, I just said that was techically where it came from.
I still believe a ricer is defined by what is done to a vehicle more so than the actual vehicle itself. Sure, we've all seen the riced Camaros, Mustangs, etc. Someone else mentioned the trucks too...yup, there are riced trucks and SUV's. Regardless, there is one thing that all ricers have in common. They suck. Even well-tuned cars suck if they have been riced out. |
