K03 turbo? Isn't that the same turbo in the GTI's? I thought it cap'd out at like 12-14 lbs of boost. I could be way off. Thought the VW GTI's needed a K04 to push boost to 20lbs.

I should brush up on my vw reading. I stopped with a tune. Can't get traction with 1 driven wheel as is.

Neat car, but don't knock the Subaru. The interiors don't rattle and they aren't that bad.. The awd and transmission in the STi is hands down better. Just wait until Subaru drops a new engine in..

Way off topic but since talking Subaru:

Just bought a 2015 premium crosstek for the Mrs. I'd agree that the interior is nothing to write home about. Simple car. A lot of form over function. Puny engine with a cvt. Seems well built. Cheaper materials including the "leather". No squeaks or rattles yet. Road noise is acceptable and better than my GTI. Comfortable ride. 9" of ground clearance. Does a lot of stuff right.... Seems like a well built and great all around CUV.

I know that I am talking apples to oranges. But, I'm impressed with the modestly priced Crosstrek and it's versatile package.

I wonder if it will blow up as often as the current ones

But I agree, Subaru has a superior AWD and transmission. I was kind of bummed when they announced that 'torque vectoring' AWD system for the RS. Was never interested in the car. At that price point there are far better cars to get, such as the awesome 2016 Camaro coming out Only thing I'll miss is the awesome Recaro's.

honestly I think this thing looks pretty sweet I don't know if it'll absolutely EAT the NEW V6 Camaros most likely the 5th gen but i'll have to see about the sixth gen. Still waiting on those numbers from magazines and independent reviewers, then I will happily admit defeat and drive off in my camaro with people ogling my car while they don't even bat an eye at that focus

I don't know about that. The awd system in the focus is similar to the one in the gtr. The other thing to keep in mind here is that scooby isn't saying that the cars system can't handle more power.

Just that after a certain point excess power past system limitations will go to front wheels. Even modded you could probably expect this car to be a high 11 second to mid 11 second car.

That's fast as shit for a hatchback.

I can clearly see that you don't know about that.. The STi awd is hands down better.

Not my cup of tea - I'd buy a GT with PP before I bought the Focus RS.

Yeah that'd be right now.
No need for acting all tough, now. Soon your other testicle might drop and you'll feel better.

Trust me, snide little comments towards me cannot keep the Focus from being a underwhelming car no matter how many little badges, or wings and things you bolt on it, IMO. It just won't.

And there's nothing you can do or say to change that. Just like I'll never change your minds that the Focus is the best-made car in the universe. Believe whatever you like.

It's a light weight AWD hatch with 350hp, I don't think that's underwhelming. I don't think anyone here is saying it's the best made car in the universe either...

I hope there is a market for this American AWD high boost 4 banger; and I hope GM and Chrysler are forced to make offerings in the segment. Not going to hold my breath though.
