I sold the GT first and used some of its money to put the order in for the 1LE. Then sold the cobra and used its cash to buy half the 1LE.

Before the cobra I had a new '02 SS SLP camaro while owning a '86 GT, '89 GT, and a '93 LX convertible.

Before them I had a '66 Impala SS 396 ragtop and '85 Mustang SVO. The impala had HD suspension and 10" wide wheels at all four corners, sorta early resto-mod back in 1992. The SVO was my sleep street racer when I prowled the streets of Brooklyn-Queens-long island. Stripped all the SVO garb off, added rear drums, thru on steelies at all four corners, looked like piece of crab brooklyn bomber 4 banger car. Killed quiet a few big block chevys.

I like all cars and makes, to me its just 4 wheels and engine.
There is a guy who runs around naples and has a 02 or 03 cobra and I don't know what he has done to it but its lowered has a huge hood scoop on it and sitting next to him at a light you feel it rumbling inside my camaro and I don't think I would mess with him but he isn't real obnoxious and doesn't try and street race me.

Thanks guys, and although some of you feel comfortable driving Fords and Chevy's, I just aint one of them. Like I said I love LT1, LS1 Camaros - and especially the C6 and C7 Z06, but Im Ford through and through. I think it goes back to Rusty Wallace and his #2 Thunderbird, but I digress lol. At the end of the day, we are all American car guys and that is the bigger deal.

The one Chevy I really like alot is the 2002 era Camaro, especially the LS1 SS. To this day, I think they look mean and intimidating and sound awesome with that pushrod LS. I had a neighbor with an older LT1 with that same body style, it was black and always thought that car looked menacing. Of course when the 03/04 Cobra came out I thought that car look just as sinister with the right color/wheel setup.

Question: What do you guys think about the new GT350 and GT350R? How will it compare on track to the Z/28? Of course Im biased but I think it looks badass, Im just not sure about the super high-tech FPC 5.2. Sounds kind of strange to me:

Also, what is in store for Chevy in the future? I guess there is a new gen Camaro coming out? Thats strange because it seems like the facelifted Camaro just came out.

What is the future of the ZL1 and Z/28? More horsepower? anything official yet?

They have always looked meaner than the Mustangs. I especially like the '02 SS Camaro, best body style yet. The new Z/28 and ZL1's are downright menacing as well. I could never switch over though considering my loyalty to Ford, but I just wanted to let you guys know I have always respected late model Camaro's. They are badass cars and I love the pushrod engines. I remember when LS1's were top dog before the 03/04 Cobra came out. I bought my 03 Cobra brand new in December of '02. It now sits in the garage next to the GT500.

Anyways, g'day.
Only thing superior about the 03-04 Cobras to the ls1s was the supercharger. Just sayin.

And I don't mind mustangs. I'm thinking of buying one, for my girlfriend

...and a higher revving DOHC 32v motor, cast iron block, cast iron crank, forged internals, could handle up to 950 HP on factory block, 6 speed transmission, IRS.

Just sayin.

An LS1 with a supercharger eats the 03-04 Cobra... let's play fare.
Heck a 5.3 does too...

The only Mustang that l would own would be a 69-70 boss or mach1

One thing l don't get about Ford guys is they keep blindly buying the blue oval guys products because of tradition... All the while they envy the Chevys

lol no one is jelous. Trust me. Just stating facts.

You can't come on a camaro forum talking about a supercharged mustang being better than an ls1 and not expect some feedback.

And I'm really gonna get my chick a 5.0.
