i know what you guys are feeling. i have yet had problems with my camaro but with my scion i have had idiots lean on it, throw eggs at it, keyed it, last one was i was going to work and i saw this honda next to me with some trashy people no ethnicity will be said, and i then saw this girl pop up in the passengers side then she rolled down the window and threw a full cup of soda out the window. i did not notice till washed the car the next day that it was all over the front fender and my door, i work nights so hard to see. its just b/s and yeah i would have had said something but some people aren't like "ssooch" if they had a gun they would have shot me. i would rather live another day to enjoy then die cause i confronted some a$$ hole for doing something disrespectful to another person

A couple of weeks ago I had a Suburban cut me off and then a couple of minutes later a couple of kids are hanging out of the back windows ..... silly me I think the kids are checking out the car, until the kid on the right throws something out of his window, at first I think it is an accident, until the kid on the left starts spitting ! Luckily traffic was light enough that I was able to move over and speed past them and get back over. On my way past them I looked over to see two soccer moms who weren't paying any attention to the herd of kids in the back, they were to busy sipping their iced lattes and talking !

As for your reaction ? It's good that you kept it calm, if you so much as show that gun you become part of the problem, like it or not. Permit or not, threatening someone with that thing is still against the law. We all love our cars and don't want anything to happen to it, but let's remember that it is just a car ( don't shoot me ). What I am saying here is : it's not your child, wife, husband, etc. you cannot use deadly force to safeguard it. It can be replaced, you cannot. There are screwed up people out there as we are seeing every day, a piece of gum is not worth dieing over.

I think you shoulda hit the brakes hard, which would force the soccer moms oblivious of the kids in the back, to also hit the brakes hard. Kids leaning out of window = kids skidding on tarmac. Teach them a lesson :P

They're too spoiled now a days. This coming from a 16 year old >.>

Wait, you aren't allowed to threaten people with a gun? Even if you have a liscence? What's the point of carrying them around then?

Nope. I don't know the specifics of it, probably something to do with terroristic threatening or whatever the hell. Bunch of wimpy-ass laws.

You completely hit the nail on the head. Most abhorrent behavior you see from young kids to young adults comes from a LACK OF PARENTING!! Kids are being raised not to respect anything. Things are given to them without doing anything to earn them so they have no concept of value or pride of ownership. Their parents don't make them accountable for their actions in and out of school or in the home. We are seeing a new generation of selfish, inconsiderate heathens whose behaviors reflect their parents' lack of values and discipline.

Exactly, has nothing at all to with politics! I'm a liberal, but I would never ever ever do any of these horrible things that people have had done to their cars.

Can-Am is right, it's about whether you're and asshole or not, whether parents raised you right or not.

Wow there's a warnable and offensive, and above all political post (something I didn't think was allowed on the forum), if I ever saw one.

Listen, first off, no one is ever going to force you to go on the bus.

Secondly, the majority of the US has terrible public transport systems and the country could definitely benefit from some good ones.

And last, the US is such a huge car culture that something like that isn't going to happen quickly, if at all.

Jeez, what is up with this forum these days!

Good post! When people are GIVEN things they didn't EARN they have no respect for what it takes someone to EARN things, so they trash them out of spite.
