I understand the desire for the look...I had my Doberman's done when he was a puppy too. Whole process took about 7 weeks on my dog with a medium crop. Looking good!

Not sure how that would go in my house...... Hmmm, something tells me my hubby might feel some sort of envy.

He's not going to fit in the Camaro in another couple of months.

Thank you - he is what they call a Merle (European Great Dane)
Here's a 3 week comparison photo!!
His ears stand up as you can see in the other post above but they were floppy this day - we were in the "rest" period of training them to stand up.

I'm curious as to what brand food you're feeding him. With out last dog we did wellness core, with Duke we have him on Merrick (grain free) dry food. Duke loves it and his coat really is soft and shinny.

I have Titan on natural balance Limited ingredients Grain Free with 21% Protein and 10% fat Potato & Duck) (slow a steady growth is the best for these guys). however when I get low on this bag I am going to switch him over to the same brand but with more Meat based Protein. to aide in his muscle development 23% Protein and 12% fat is the idealistic %'s for the Giant breeds.

I just rescued another Dane his previous diet was TERRIBLE (pedigree puppy food - puppy food is bad news for these guys... too much protein and fat)... he is on a diet and his body shape as well as coat reflects it... so brush and groom him every-other day to pull that old and dead coat off Thor to help bring up the new healthier coat... it is already starting to make a difference in the past week and a half.

16 WEEKS

Well... Titan is Officially 16 weeks old (4 months)
A lot of member got to meet him at the fest...

he is growing quite nicely he is 23" tall at that shoulders and weighs a whopping 49 lbs! he still has another 8 months of growing "up" they hit their potential height around a year old (some grow a little more, not much) and then they start filling out for the next year or so... typically they stop growing around 2.5-3 years!!! reaching full maturity!
