They finally went with flat folding rear seats. It was always a pain to have to remove the third row seats when hauling cargo instead of passengers.

![]() Glad to hear everything is covered though. I remember when my car had a lot of hail damage from the Tornado that hit here in '98. Hopefully you'll be back to enjoying your new Sierra very soon!

First impression, eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Need to see them in person but they both look hideous IMO. The gmc looks bloated and the Chevy just looks off IMO. After looking at them some more, the Chevys to me in certain angles look like a ford flex that has been lifted. Still need to see them in person tho Last edited by shaffe; 09-12-2013 at 08:27 PM. |

Agree it's a big improvement, though.

What is Chevy's deal with taking the current rear ends and scrunching them up and calling them redesigned? First the Silverado & Sierra and now these.
Hopefully they'll look better in person..

I'm not really a fan of the front end but I'm sure that these are a huge improvement over the last generation. The interiors look great. I guess I was expecting the Tahoe to look more like the Silverado which I love. The magnetic ride control is a nice touch. I wonder if they'll ever put that on the Trucks? I guess most pickup drivers don't care as much about having a silky smooth ride.

As usual I like the look of the GMC over the Chevy. It seems to be much more "together" if that makes sense.
As to the speedo comment earlier, the reason they go so high isn't because they expect you to go that fast, instead its because market research has shown people like having the gauge needles near the center of the gauge. Thusly at a highway crushing speed a speedo of 140 will have the needle right near center. Its pleasing to the eye...I guess.

Having owned an ltz Tahoe2008 it was silly not to have fold flat chairs. Removing the 3d row wasn't easy. Also you have this huge car and second row is jammed up close to the front rows. Glad Chevy addressed those issues. Now lets see how the mpg goes. I used to get single digits and low double digits.

I'm somewhat neutral on them as a whole. The GMC's styling is a bit cleaner than Chevy's. I don't like the edged shaped rear end of the SUV's.
Sadly, IMO GM's designs have become worse in this segment. After the well done '00-'06 generation, the styling has become increasingly bulky and busy in its details.

Funny, I feel the same way but on the reverse. At least they are not as ugly as the new 1500's.
