I liked the GTO's that didn't have the tacked on hood scoops better than when they put them on just to make it look "more aggressive". (Now the GTO did look better when they split the dual exhaust the correct way and didn't have them dumping out to one side)

I mean, if you're going to have hood inlets, do it right and make them functional

That is what I loved about the 1994-96 Impala SS so much. Very low key, but you know what you had back then

I like the clean look of the SS, but I'm sure I'm in the minority

There is clean and then their is outright boring........ 94-96 Impala SS=clean, 2014 SS=boring

Now if we could the 94-96 Impala SS body with the SS interior/drivetrain/suspension we would have a winner.

If you tried to sell anything vaguely resembling the '94-'96 Impala SS today, sales would tank faster than Scion's brand image.

Um, I doubt that, those cars are iconic, now if they tried to "tweak" the look, you could be right........

...you're going to sit there and tell me straight-faced that selling the B-body design as a new car today would be a good idea?

94-96 impala SS is probably one of the most boring vehicles I've ever seen.

i really wanted an SS, I thought it would be a great fit. Unforntunately, I was disappointed as its too much malibu and not enough camaro PLUS the price. A chevy sedan in this price point needs to provide more wow and less oww! When your starting in the mid 40's and restrict options you've really narrowed the customer base. It seems like forever before they drop this car and for what?

Looks like they will have a Caprice coupe too. Almost a Camaro with different body panels. I hope they use it as a springboard to experiment with things like 4-wheel drive using the new Cadillac v6 turbo. That plus magnetic ride and maybe a 7-speed auto in a coupe using the Camaro chassis could get very interesting.

Be better than the SS I guess i was thinking more of the concept, it did have an understated agressiveness the SS lacks, the SS looks kinda like an evolution of the 06-13 Chevy Impala.
